Just a quick question. I have searched far and wide for solutions, but no clear answers anywhere. Long story short, when I step on the accelerator (sometimes if not most of the time) the car will stop pushing and continue to rev. Eventually it will catch on. I know its not normal, so I am wondering if anyone may know what this issue is. I have read anywhere from the spark plugs to flashing the software to fuses. So any ideas and input would be great.

Really need more info about your car - what is the trim level, year, and transmission.

Going just with the little info you've provided, I'd start with the transmission fluid level being low.

If it continues to rev but you're not accelerating you may want to check your tranny levels. I had that problem awhile ago and it was because the transmission fluid was low (I had a leak)

If the check engine light didn't come on you are likely low on fluid or you are way past due to have the tranny filter and fluid changed.

The filter issue usually only shows up when the transmission is cold and usually only last until the engine and transmission warm up to normal operating temperature.

I vote you get the transmission serviced. The NAG1 (and equivalent 722.6 MB trans) can get really wonky when the fluid level is even an ounce above or below normal level.
