Just picked up my '15 Scat pack from the Tint shop. Came out great, hard to see in this pic, but it looks amazing with the black roof and to have the black carry all the way down to the trunk.

One thing I noticed today as well and wanted to see if anyone else has notice this, there seems to be a weird gap on the drivers side between the front and read door that isn't aligned perfectly, whereas the passenger side seems like it is...has anyone else notice slight alignment issues with the panels? Curious. It's not really noticeably unless you stare at it...but kind of annoying

Just move the door latch striker inboard by 1/16". It's just a factory default position that you can fine tune.

Oh wow I didn't know this could be a thing. I noticed this on my car. It's a slight difference on mine but good to know it can be aligned. Now Dave if I only can figure out what you're talking about and how to move it ?.

Ok, open the door and look at the latch on the door and the squared off u-shaped striker on the door post between the front and rear doors. The latch on the door is in a fixed location and can't be adjusted. However, the u-shaped striker on the door post can be adjusted.

You simply loosen the bolts a little and move it before tightening it down again. Since it can be adjusted up and down and in and out, it's best to use a marker to draw a line around it before loosening it and moving it. Adjustments will make the edge of the door raise/lower or move in and out depending on how it's positioned.

Wow, thanks, really helpful. I may try this tomorrow or have dealer do when I bring in for service. Thanks for the info though, very helpful.

I'm also thinking my tint shop removed the door panels to do the tints and in the process I see very small almost dents in the doors below the windows, they are BARELY noticeable, but clearly lines that shouldn't be there. Now I'm wondering if they were always there or the tint shop did that. Either way I think a dent guy can remove pretty easily....again you barely notice and nothing like a door ding, just very small in a few places. I forgot the joys of caring about your car coming out of a Wrangler that was beat to crap...lol.

The tint shop shouldn't have removed the door panels to install the tint. I've never seen one that does...it's simply not necessary and far too much work for them to do.

Aren't you the guy that claims to own a Lambo, Viper and C7 Corvette?

Starting to see some holes in your story, especially since you posted on the Wrangler forum 3 years ago that you sold the Viper a long time ago:

LMAO at trying to convince everyone on the internet that you still have every car you've ever owned.

I've owned a couple Vettes myself, but I can admit I no longer have them.

FWIW, I discovered similar misaligned door panels when detailing my car a few weeks after I picked it up...it was pointed out to me by a colleague was against domestic vehicles lol.

Anyways, took it back to the dealership and pointed it out to them.
They then took me out to the lot to have a look at other Chargers out there and they all had misaligned panels...in some cases even worse than mine!

Long story short they covered it under 'warranty' and had the body shop 're-hang' the doors...whatever that means..

I wasn't 'trolling' anywhere. I just did a google image search on your viper pic and that post came up top of the list. LOL.

But you did post recently on this forum that you still owned all those cars and they were stored in Florida or something. You forgot that you sold your Viper well over 3 years ago?

Or you flat out lied? ;)

Dude, you are the one that is trying to pretend you have stuff that you don't currently own, not me.

I don't care what you own or do not own.

I'm not in any kind of competition with you. Seems you're in competition with the entire internet.

And it's comical.

B5, your car looks amazing. But, it seems like in every post you have to mention your six cars and loads of money. Not trying to pile on bro, but this isn't a dick stretching contest. Nice car.

Can't wait to get mine so i can adjust the doors? Lol

Don't you guys think it's kind of ridiculous this car sits in inspection for a few days and yet part of this QA/QC process does not take into account alignment of the doors, especially when there is such a pronounced lip/style that carries from the rear door to the front? I get it that they are rushing to get these things out the door, but to me this is just unacceptable quality.

The other area of absolute CHEAP quality to me on this car is the paint. I have never seen paint chip so easily than on this car. The thing with the hellcat wheels is that the tires kick up everything on the side of the car and you will get chips because the clear coat is so freaking cheap and flimsy on this car, it's simply not a hard coat at all.

For the value of the SP I don't really care as much and it's leased so just turning it back in...but if I bought a Hellcat, I would be pissed by these quality issues and seeing all these issues just 2 weeks in, can't imagine how the paint would hold up over years +, shouldn't have to wrap the car in my opinion.

Forget about that. I want to hear more about these lies.
