Am I reading all these posts right. You HAVE to drop the exhaust, drive shaft and differential just to remove the axle? Or can it be removed by removing the caliper, rotor and wheel hub? I have a issue I know but thinking it may just be a snapped axle. If like to check that before having to drop the exhayst and drive shaft to tear into the differential. If I can I'll go pick up a torx socket for the hub tomorrow.

I was just now able to get the wheel off today (locking lug nut)

Hate to tell you this, but everywhere I look says rear axle has to be dropped down to replace axle shafts! So what you read is right!

Well that sucks.

I think I'll NOT do all that just to check the axle. I'll just get the Getrag kit (or same parts from dealer if I can run down the part numbers). Then just swap both axles hubs and differential to the 3.92 gears.

If anyone has a link to or part nbers written down can you please post it up or message me the numbers. My steep daughter works at a dodge dealer so I may be able to get a decent price there.

Thanks
