First off you don't need Sprak Plugs at 14,000 miles. They are actually good for well over 60,000. I believe they are supposed to be changed at 100,000 miles.
Anyway Your Temp sensor might be not in leaking or not getting signal correctly. Check the Temp sensor , the one that sticks into the Intake that you should have re used from the stock setup.
Take a few pics of the engine bay, your K&N install so I can look at it and see if the Temp sensor is in all the way. You might have an issue there it not reading the correct intake temperature.
