So I have a 2012 Dodge Charger R/T and I am thinking of adding 12" 2400 max watt skar subs, but my friend told me that I might have to get a new battery and alternator for those, so I'm just wondering if this is true, and if so how much power is the limit vefore having to a new alternator and subs.

pretty much as title states, I have a 2ohm amp I got from a friend along with 2 12" 4 ohm subs. Subs are boss 1400W cx122 and amp is 600W r3002.

I’ve been trying to get subs installed for a while now and every place I go they always deny me because I tell them I can’t replace my radio unit. I’ve heard that you can tap into rear speakers for amp connection. Has anyone tried this or know if it works?
