And . . . his car was flipped into the impound lot after his arrest.

There is a link in the last sentence of the article. In the other article this kids mommy says "obviously its a stupid mistake". I think mommy need to attach the word stupid to her kid.

Goes without saying the kid needs to pay the stupid skipped tolls, stupid court fine if convicted, and the stupid impound fees to get his car back.

Some people never learn and I have a feeling from his mug shot he's going to be one of them.

2 Fast, 2 Furious

That's pretty funny someone actually did that. I remember 15+ years ago when the first two Fast and Furious movies came out, then Ludacris rapped something about his hideaway licence plate, if some contraption like that actually existed. Pretty funny. Dumb, but funny.

I saw this story too but the pics don't match the narrative.

The article says the plate "flips 180 degrees" but the pic shows a license plate covers that turns from clear to dark tint.

Seems like fake news or BS pics or something.....I dunno.

My guess he was using this mod. From the pictures in the link it looks very similar.

Just watch the opening of this video, about 10 secs in he shows it in action.

That was here in Houston. They actually got him by establishing a pattern of when the car went through certain toll booths. So they were waiting for him when he hit this one, and they got him. In one local news interview, the mom pretty much said it was a stupid thing for him to do. She said she pays her tolls, and really didn't know her son was doing this. But she said he was stupid for doing it. It was kinda funny watching that interview. I haven't heard any follow-up on it, but I'm sure he will be in a lot more debt than just the "up to $200 fine" and repaying all the tolls. Admin and court fees and all that will add up quick.

As the old saying goes, "You in a heap of trouble, boy!" Maybe I can pick up a cheap Charger at a police auction soon!!

I credit anybody with the balls to attempt this, but if you get caught, you'll be in trouble. I think tolls are complete BS (along with most taxes) but that's another debate.

Nothing gets the authorities pissed off faster than somebody trying to avoid the revenue scam.
