Thanks for the addition. I'm having a problem with my cargo and third brake light which I have some leads pointing me in a promising direction now. UPDATE, I fixed my cargo light and third brake light with the information gained on this forum. The problem was in the loom that is between the trunk lid and back window. I found three wires broken inside the rubber sheath.

I'm also having a problem with steering not returning fully to center after a turn or lane change.

There's several things that can cause this problem ...
Tires not inflated properly.
Improper front wheel alignment.
Lack of lubrication/binding in front lower control arm ball joints.
Steering column coupling joints misaligned.
Tight shaft bearing in steering column.
Excessive friction in steering column coupling.
Excessive friction in power steering gear.

I have checked the alignment and tire pressure, both were ok.
I had replaced the lower ball joints replaced with Moog gusher ball type premium ball joints a while ago ( very hard to change )
I haven't noticed any binding when the tie rods are disconnected and jacked up.

Where should I check next.
