I have to start off with the required "
BT Rocks!!!!", because they do.
I had ordered my underhood accessories and oil catch can during the Black Friday (after Thanksgiving) sale, a super deal and free shipping. I know they have been cranking out product left and right with the holiday rush. And since they run their anodized products in color batches and the new darker purple probably isn't one of their highest volumes, I figured I wouldn't see my stuff until the new year.
Surprise, look what the postman left on my porch today! Just days before Christmas and during the "Storm of the Century" that has gripped the eastern part of the country.
Now, our family rule has always been that you cannot, no way, no how, under no circumstances or I'm telling Santa you have been naughty, open Christmas gifts early. So even though I bought these for myself (Wow, it's just what I wanted, how did you know?

), I knew I couldn't tear into everything just yet.
I was, however, under the "do you think everything got shipped in one box?" rule, able to check things out a little bit. You know, just in case.
Of course, everything was fine and it was all there. Each sealed in its own plastic bags, snug like kids on Christmas Eve. And each piece was individually wrapped in foam inside the bags. So nothing could possible ding or dent together during shipping. Not even if Santa was doing donuts in the sleigh.
And look at this, each one is hand written with the color and engraving. This could be the actual writing of that beloved Southern Christmas Elf herself, the famous and fabulous Heidi! Sorry, Dan and the Guys, we love you too, but it doesn't take a CSI to crack this handwriting.
Even the oil catch can was in its own bag, and the nut that comes with it was in its own separate compartment. Now that's first class quality control.
The color is a deep, rich purple, but it is harder than heck to photograph through the plastic. But the two elbows were perfectly in line with each other and with the billeted arm.
And the bottom part of the can is so well machine threaded that I was able to start to spin it, even through the plastic bag. Not that I was trying to play with my gifts or anything.
So, that's the story of how I spent several hundred dollars on aluminum and ended up with the biggest 6 year old grin on my face, even though nothing is even opened yet. I think that says everything about BT right there.
Tune back into this thread in later this week to see the all the Plum Crazy bits unwrapped.
Wishing everyone at BT a Plum Crazy Christmas!
