Well as some of you know , i've been trying to set up a day at cedar point, the friday or maybe even the thu before lx and beyond. This park is about 2 hours from the track. www.cedarpoint.com
The goal is to get 25+ people that would enjoy going to the park so we can go as a group and get a discount. For people that havent gone, this park is great. It has some of the nations record breaking coasters and i think it has over 17 total. The goal would be to go on friday prior to any meet and greets. Maybe between 9-5. It will already be hard to fit in even half the rides in that amount of time but i dont want to miss any possible friday night meet and greets at the hotel.
So let me know if you would be interested in going and i'll add you to the list. This will be a blast for those of you that go.
I believe tickets are normally 45 a piece but i've gotten them talked down to 20 a piece when taking a club of only 15 a couple years ago.
This will require you out of towners to stay at the hotel thu-sun, not just fri and sat. This has already been approved by the hotel at the discounted rate if you have reserved your rooms.
The goal will be to work this around any friday night events however none are set up at this time. If one gets set up too early friday then this may be moved to thu. unfortunately we dont know whats going on with that yet but for now this is a friday day thing.
Leave hotel at 7, get to the parkk at nine, hang til 4-5, drive back for any possible meet and greets or stay late if there is no meet and greets.
p.s. a side note for big people. Please check the site before deciding. Since these are some of the fastest roller coasters in the world they have lots of limits on height and weight. You can not fudge the system. If you dont meet the requirements the seat belts will not latch on your seats. i've taken big buddies before just to have them upset because even after 4 people pushing on their restraints they couldnt get the stuff to buckle so they were booted from the ride. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up
THIS EVENT IS A NO GO. NOT ENOUGH INTEREST. PLEASE DISREGARD THIS THREAD

from site:
Due to rider restraint system requirements, guests of exceptional size may not be accommodated on some of our rides. This may apply, but not be limited to, men who exceed 6’2”, or those who exceed 225 pounds, have a 40” waistline or 52” chest or females who exceed 200 pounds or wear size 18 or larger. Each person has different body proportions so it is not possible to list exact size and weight.
Our larger guests may experience difficulty on Blue Streak, Chaos, Corkscrew, Disaster Transport, Mantis, Maverick, maXair, Mean Streak, Millennium Force, Mine Ride, Power Tower, Raptor, Skyhawk, Top Thrill Dragster, Wave Swinger, Wicked Twister.
Ive been to this park several times even though i live 900 miles away. Thats just how kick grass it is.If anyone has questions about the place i will most likely know the answer
