Re: PPG Paint Code, Inferno Red Crystal Pearl

I believe the answer to your question is P2234K (Dupont).

My quart coud have been a bit more dark red, but it's close.

FYI: I found out the hard way that the above information is not correct. In many cases, these are the basic colors, but does not include the metallic "pearl". Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl is PXR and most others will require the preceding "P" to provide the correct look.

Double check with your dealer, paperwork, or vehicle's sticker.

Look on the driver door, your paint code is listed. Inferno Red is PRH.

need help... I don't have a charger, but its related to the paint question. I have a 2006 dodge ram 1500 that the doors got backed into took it to a body shop and they use ppg paint. just got the truck back today and the guy said he knows i'm picky and the first time they took it out of the shop they realized the front of the truck did not match the box... so what did they do painted the box of the truck to match the front but now half my truck is a diff color than the other half but really noticable on the hood and fender... is this color really that hard to match?

Yup, PRH for sure. That's what's on my door, and that's the code I've used on several paint projects.
