You should get a baseline dyno done (Any dyno) if you plan to mod the car. I plan to get a baseline run as soon as Diablo says the In-Tune is available for the 13's. They say it should be soon. I plan to post that along with dyno runs with HF Cats/catback no tune, then dyno with the tune/exhaust.

IMO this car has more torque than Dodge is letting on. Just a butt dyno for now and comparing that with a fully modded 11 Mustang V6 and a 12 Mustang GT/CS (3.73 rear, Tune/CAI) that I had.

yeah im going to hopefully soon before any mods and right after diablo comes out with theire tune ima run it with the tune.. but i also think dodge was being conservative with the numbers they put out cause for being a heavy a$$ car it moves at a very very good pace IMO

Dodge has always been very conservative with their numbers. These HEMI engines put out a run of power and the amount of torque is immense.

Do you have the 2.65 or 3.06 rear axle? What were your times? That is impressive to beat a SS with a stock R/T.

With just the wheels and tunes group it should be the 2.65. "Time slips posted" would show how bad the SS driver was.

All cars are underrated these days. After the class action lawsuit Ford faced on the Cobra, nobody is going to risk claiming a HP too high.

SS automatics can run 12s. Tuned R/Ts cannot.

Of course all cars make more power in 40 degree weather vs. 90 degree. There has to be variance along with about 2% in production motors.

I have raced two Camaro SS automatics (no sticks) and I have pulled away both times with a stock, 200K mile 6.1

This was from about 65-110

They are certainly quicker than R/Ts but slightly slower than 6.1s and they have no shot against a 6.4

Agree, From my experience racing the SS's with the Stang last year, the auto's were the quickest from 0-60, and the 6 speed SS's were better in the 1/4 mile. Put an Auto SS against the 6 speed and the auto will take the 1/8th but the standard always pulled away by the 1/4. (Just from what I have seen)

IMO, the new R/T Charger's, with a good tune, CAI and Headers with HF Mid's, would give the stock SS auto a good run. (Would have to take out the spare tire, LOL)
