Charger whistle

I have a 08 charger with 3.5l. When i drive it at crusing speeds and slowly give it gas or slight load it makes a whistling noise. I can hear is from inside the car but it is coming from the intake on the engine a vacume whistle then i slow down or hit gas harder it goes away. It seems to do it around 55-70mph around 2000-2500 rpm. It almost sounds line I got a CAI on it. Anyone with same sound? Thanks

YEP!!!! I have the same damn whistle. It's driving me fricken nuts, it happens at the same exact times you described. I'm going to do some tinkering with the intake and see if I can find the source of the noise. I believe it's the intake, but...who knows.

It is the intake, it is normal. Most of the time if you modify the intake the whistle will be louder and more noticable. It will do it at lower speeds as well. If you don't like the noise you can turn the radio up, but I do not know of anything that will make it go away. In my honda I have a modified intake system on it, and the noise is a lot louder.

I have the same problem with my '08 3.5L. If anyone comes up with a solution or hears of one from the manufacturing, please share. I experience the whistling at the exact same times as you guys. I love my charger, and it is the only problem I'm having with it.

I have absolutely no idea about this but just from reading the comments it sounds like its only a probelm on the 08's

I know you are talking about a 3.5 but I have the same noise since I installed my CAI on my '06 R/T. Its the intake making noise, it can be annoying but its not going to hurt anything.

I also have the same whistle sound in my '06 R/T around 2000 rpms.

Does anyone know how to make the sound go away, or at least make it less noticeable......besides just turning the radio up

Here I am adding a whistle to my car.. while others want it to go away!
