How to disable TPM chime/light

I'm buying some after market wheels & tires that do not have TPM. The guy I'm getting them from says the TPM warning chimes on start, and the dash warning light stays on constantly on his Charger.

I can live with the chime sounding when you start it, but IDK about the idiot light. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn the TPM dash warning light off?

Why didn't you keep the TPMS valve stems off of the original stock wheels?

Not sure what year your charger is. I have an '06 and don't have the sensors and it only chimes every once in a while. The light is in the far left gauge so really don't pay attention to it. You can pull the fuse for it but the fuse also runs your auto climate control. So pick your poison.

I didn't know that I could. The ones I'm buying are already mounted and balanced, but I guess I could ask the shop to swap the valve stems out when they put them on.

Thanks!

I don't have the auto climate control, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to pull the fuse (but might not need to if I can swap valve stems - see the above post).

Thanks!

I was told you can't by a friend working at a dodge dealer. I also searched the forums and never found any hints on feasibility. I drove all last winter with the reminder and flashing light.

That drove me nuts to the point that this year, I bought the pressure sensors. I bought them used from a fellow forum member, in the for sale section.

...Ben...
