Justed wanted to crush your dreams on this kit. I called them becuase they are kinda local. Heres how the conversation went down.
1. the car in the pictures does not run. They cant drive it because there isnt a downpipe on the setup. You can see the uppipe in the pictures but there is no room for a downpipe without cutting the car and our customer wouldnt allow.
2. the charge pipe you see heading down off the throttle body requires a new fan setup on the car. This car has 2 fans pushing air into the engine bay instead of the 2 pullers.
3. the computer setup we like to use is 2500 alone if you were wanting it before the kit. As well this is not a kit and can not be installed. It must be built on the car becuase the car has to be modified by cutting parts off the car to accomidate the pipes.
Price is 6000-8000 depending on parts at the time.
holy crap thats a lot for something that they dont even have running yet.
Wow, thanks for the call and info Goofy, I thoughtthe info seemed a hair skimpy. 6-8K, and they have to cut the car? Lotta engineering left on the floor there.

If I looked at it I would have to say they cut the wheel well up for the downpipe. As well thats just too much money for something thats untested period. I looked at my engine bay for a few hours trying to see a few holes to run pipes but no way without movin a/c hoses and about 2million wires.
You can see in those pics the wastegate pipe coming up off the turbo attached to nothing.
I was waiting for someone to do the research with the company and I had a feeling the price was gonna be up there but if you look at other companies kits and compare turbo kits are usually two to three times more expensive to supercharger kits. When I look at how packed the engine bay on the GSM supercharger is you could only imagine how bad it will be with a turbo. I would still be interested in seeing what becomes of the kit to see how it all turns out. Being one that worked on installing a custom Turbo system in a car with a packed engine bay I can tell you it isn't easy by any stretch of the imagination and you have to sacrifice, modify, remove, and install expensive parts to replace parts that need to be upgraded to handle the turbo.

No Charger yet........driving the Neon until it falls apart
Is the 6.4 hemi an actual future engine? Correct me if Im wrong, but the SEMA show is for aftermarket products. I dont believe that any car manufacturer has ever shown a product in that show that will be an actual production unit. Dont they usually bring them out in the detriot, or chicago show?? The super 8 hemi concept was actually a supercharged engine (and that never lead up to anything so far)
SEMA is where most car companies show what can be done, remember the SS Impala of the 90's? it made it's debut at sema...so has countless factory "crate motors"....
Sure, VW can do it, with CAD/CAM, a few million, and a staff of crack engineers from all the various disciplines. Two guys in a garage with a pipe bender? Not so easy.

They have already turbo'd a hemi truck remotely, maybe some intrest from the board will get them moving on it. I have been in a Goat that was remote turbo'd and all I could say was HOLY S**T!!!
