Heater Problems

Has anyone had issues with the heater where the manual control temperature knob doesn't keep the temp any more? If I turn it all the way up, I get a lot of hot, but if I put it at 72, which I usually do, it comes out fairly cold. I didn't use a temp gun to see the actual temp but I know this used to be warmer air coming out.

I have a Daytona which has dual zone/auto/manual control but this happens in manual. I haven't tried it in auto yet.

Yes, I was having that problem. I was constantly changing the temps. Now I put it on a temp and set the low auto fan and it keeps an even temperature.

I thought that the temp settings only worked in auto mode. when in manual mode its just a matter of using the fan to regulate the temp??

Mine worked fine until I just got it back from the dealer this week - they flashed the PCM/Transmission. Now I am having these issues. The temp knob was very accurate. I turned it down 2 degrees and you could tell. Now it doesn't seem to do much. I hate the auto mode.

Has anyone had this issue and had it fixed? Is there a TSB on it?

I am not happy!

Hmm, my auto mode works...well if its doing what its supposed to...

It gets colder/warmer according to the temperature in the car...makes me feel good..I just put it on auto low and keep both nobs at 72...feels nice for me

The heater knob should work the same as it does in any car, it should blend the cold air with the heated air to get the desired temperature (in manual mode).

This morning it started working as normal again. So I'll have to keep an eye on it.

Mine is all over the place. I hate it. Driving hard one day and the A/C just started putting out hot air for like 2 mins. Stupid auto sensor.

ok this morning instead of being all cold unless I went to the highest temp on the knob, it is all hot unless I go to the lowest.

mine does the same thing, i just assumed the #'s were only relevant
when in auto mode. doesn't seem to blow warm air till about 75 and
over when in manual mode. wife's grand caravan does the same and it
has auto climate with the digital readout for the #'s.
