Check engine light error code P1607

My car has the check engine light on. I found out by searching that the p1607 means

P1607 Serial Communication Problem With Device 7.

The problem is I have no clue what that means. I just had an alarm installed along with an autostart. Both being DEI Viper 791xv models. This is when this all started. Any help would be useful.

Sounds like they cut into or cut something out of the cars com system.

Minor mods, Hood gas struts, glove box light, Auto dim mirror with U-connect, hood light in progress, Daytona logo floor mats(OK so maybe not a mod per say) AC filter system
Factory repair issues up to this point, Ash tray TSB, Replacement of front wheels due to chips in clear coat, replacement of missing positive post cover, parking brake adjustment due to non return ( adjustment of return spring)

The Charger service manual says:

Possible Causes

The Powertrain Control Module is having issues!

Inferno R/T+R&T, EVIC; 6-disk CD; Sirius; UConnect; Protect Gp; front and rear spoilers, Daytona grille and insert, R/T emblem and hidden trailer hitch.

There are 10 possibilities:
you either understand binary, or you don't.

Seems to me that maybe the auto-start install might have did something to the ignition circuit?

I dunno.. but when I was looking to have a remote starter and or a alarm put in.. I was told to be very careful, because the way the charger is wired..
