Mopar, but it looked the best to me too! AND on the Gen II's it draws from outside the engine bay through a fender vent (it is there on the stock intake as well) and through the front via a vent designed into the top. Take a close look at the components and you will see how it goes together.
But mostly I got it because it has a giant mopar-blue dry filter that looks awesome. Sounds good too.
I got the AFE Stage 2 CAI I like it a lot it sounds good and looks good and I do feel that I pulls a little harder in higher RPMs. I have the dry filter now instead of the one that's on it in the picture
I wasgoing to go with Spectre because of price and also to support the brand as it is the same stuff as the rest just cost effective. But a forum member gave me a very good price on a k&n kit... Helped him out n myself still kinda want that Spectre kit tho. Might be a future purchase for me...

I don't think this topic has ever been brought up before
I have a Mopar intake. Why? Because it looked the coolest. Seriously, that is the only reason.
Performance differences? None between short rams. So if you want something more for performance, get a Legmaker (or make one yourself) which grabs the air from outside the engine bay.
I too am looking to purchase an intake system ASAP but made sure I didn't ask you guys which you thought was best. I wanted to avoid this type of response lolol. But I too am leaning towards the Mopar brand strictly because of the M myself!
2007 Dodge Charger R/T with Road and Track Package, Staggered 22in Viper Replicas, K&N CAI, Predator Tuner, Deleted Suitcase w/Magnaflow Mufflers, 15% Tint, AppRadio 2 in Dash
I just ordered the Volant cai for my 2013 srt8, can't say much about it yet for this car but I've always used Volant and LOVE them, noticeable difference in performance and sound. Got an insane deal from auto anything.com for $238 shipped, retail is almost $350. Pairing it with the corsa extreme exhaust. The intake had to be special ordered because they haven't even shipped them for the 2013's I guess so it'll be a week or two before I have it, exhaust will be here wed!
I've had the mopar cai, Arrington cai and rotofab (currently). The rotofab made my tuner raise an eyebrow because my afr was high after installing ( better airflow).
I hear great things about the leg maker but I'm done with my cai hunting.
