Info On Mr Norms Carbon Fiber Spoiler

So we have all seen several threads and many post on the CF spoiler on the red Charger done by Mr Norm right? Pic is below for those of you whom might not have seen it or need a memory refresh.

So after seeing it on the back of a car that was on the CarbonByDesign website while checking out a hood, I emailed them the other day.

Response back from them was yes they made this spoiler for Mr Norm and gave me the contact info for Mr Norm. I called them today, and they said they are no longer making this spoiler due to the demand not being high based on the cost of it.

Now Norm's Garage continues to tell me how they sold quite a few of these..I was like huh? Not one thread OR post ever had a link to buy these. Nor have I have seen another Charger with this spoiler on the web even I told him. He said they did sell them, but stopped due to it costing $999! Yes you read that right! We thought it was going to in the $700 range.

So I ask can it be made in fiberglass, and he said no. He said they were not going to reproduce this again. But after prodding him, he said he would and the cost is $999! If you really want this spoiler, PM me for the info and I will give you the contact info.

I've wanted that spoiler since I first saw it a year or so ago. I just don't know that I want to drop a grand on it.

Apparently this is NOT Mr Norm's as I was lead to believe from info on other forums after I posted this. It is the Mopar one that was never produced or was discontinued.

$1000 for a spoiler?

KTHXBAI

Don't mean to derail this thread, but this would be a close compromise on a 'dove tail' spoiler like that..

@OP: Thanks for the info though, I've always wondered where one gets a hold of those..

Mr. Norm spoiler and Redline

The spoiler pictured at the beginning of this thread is the mopar redline spoiler. it is not yet available but it does have a part number. Not sure if it ever will be produced. After over a year of waiting it doesn't appear likely.

However, I did speak to Mr. Norm's garage. They will be producing a spoiler and side scoops made from urethane (to reduce cost) in about 6 weeks or so. Urethane is still a good high quality production like material...just cheaper than carbon fiber. It doesn't look as good as the redline but does look pretty cool - certainly better than the awful stock spoiler - which I gather is why we're all here talking about this! (what were they thinking?).

Below is a pic of the new Mr. Norm spoiler. BTW, its been two years since this spoiler was first published in Mopar Action and they are just now getting around to making it. Maybe there is still hope for the Redline too.

I like that. I'd probably have to get a new truck though since I doubt it uses the same mounts as the stock spoiler.

Yeppers that is the one that they said they are going to make. Been conversing by email with them.

New trunk? If this be the case, your body shop will just fill holes and paint trunk when you get spoiler painted.

Trunk, yeah...not truck.

That would certainly be a lot less expensive.
