Now that the 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT has been released, I don't think it is too early to start this thread. I just about traded in my mopar 11 for a 13 SRT8 but after some thoughts, I thought I should wait a few months and order a 2014 instead.
As far as I know, the only thing we know for sure is that the 2014 SRT will get the 8 speed. Anything else you guys know?
I know that the supercharged hemi in rumored for 2014 but what are the odds of that?
Now that the Cherokee is unveiled, when should we get some more information on the charger?

Not much more than a rumor at this point, buuuut...
6.2L Supercharged "HellCat" Hemi
"The long rumored 6.2L Supercharged Hemi, nicknamed "HellCat" will debut in the Summer of 2013 for the 2014MY. It will be based on the 6.1 Hemi - with a possible Aluminum Block - and displacing approximately 375 CID (6.2L). Horsepower output will be around 600 HP plus/minus with cylinder head technology developed for/and used on the current 392 Hemi due to its excellent flow numbers will be applied.
Boost (psi) to deliver the approximate 600 HP - plus/minus - stock would be in the 9 to 15 psi range to deliver the horsepower/torque numbers. Currently Chevy/Cadilliac uses 9psi to develop 580 HP in their 6.2L SC V8s and the Ford 5.8 SC V8 uses 15 psi to deliver 662 HP in their 2013-14 GT500. Expect 9 or 10 psi for stock boost giving the aftermarket plenty of room to mod up to 15 psi. A modded "HellCat" should out-horsepower the 5.8 SC GT500 due to the fact that you cannot change both pulleys - like on the 5.4 (2007-12) models. Even Shelby SuperSnakes (2013MY) with the Stage 1 setup (5.8) doesn't touch the Ford factory setup. The entire SC is replaced to deliver 850 HP (Stage 2).
Internals will be highly upgraded, as well as the remainder of the drivetrain to handle the horsepower/torque requirements. Direct Injection and other measures will be applied to deliver MPG, with possible Rear End Gear Ratios being lowered as well for 6speed cars from 3.92 to 3.64 range."

Interesting to see what will happen with that. If they price it to compete with the shelby, I will be interested but if they decide to go up a notch towards the 80k range, not so much. Will also have to see if they will give a warranty with it, I assume they will.
The 2014 mustang is already available to build on ford website. SRT seems pretty early this year with their 2014, hopefully they unveil their intentions on the charger soon enough.
With the Dart, Viper and the 2014 SRT cherokee which have the TFT cluster screen, I think it is realistic to assume that it will be available for us this year.
600hp for the 6.2L when the Viper is 640hp? Not sure about that, that will probably be a 60K special run or an ultimate top of the line deal. I just don't see getting an 600hp SRT8 of any kind for under 60K when the Viper only has 40 more horses.

- SRT-branded steering wheel on all vehicles (current cars have an SRT-specific wheel, but with the current parent brand's logo)
- SRT badge loses the "8"
- the Dart's 7" center cluster screen migrates over
I wonder if the 6.2s will be branded as "SRT" like the Viper is, and the current 6.4s stay as-is as brand-topper SRT trims.
