The designers apparently got lazy and used bastardized Camaro tails. Why they thought a 'vette needed to aspire to look like a Camaro is beyond me.
I think the Viper looks better...

I will drive her until one of us dies!1/4 mile: 13.388 secs@105.75 mph
Viper looks 10 times better. Looks so much better they stole the front end

I actually think the silver looks really nice. That Stingray red one I don't care for. So Chevy is going with the signature rear end for all their cars like Dodge is doing. Huh
anyone see a resemblence to the Ferrari 599 GTO or am I just crazy???
Hood and headlights especially...
edit... needed to add. That interior is HIDEOUS... that's the best GM could do with the interior?? Viper's new interior seems light years ahead of even the C7's interior...

^^ my dad and I were just talking about how the new corvette looks like the Ferrari 599.
The new viper is dirty, got to inspect it at SEMA a few months back..Ralph Gilles actually talked with us for a while, can't wait to see them hit the streets.
Automotive designers are way to incestuous and need to find the stones to think for themselves. All of these designs are converging which means they aren't innovating...just copying with slight modification. Innovative design diverges from the norm.
I can just see them sitting around the table saying "Let's call it the iVette! Yeah, everyone will like that!"
It make me think of the line from the movie "Beetlejuice"...
"It's from the designer that created the talking Marcel Marcaeu statue...it was a sensation!"
Profound fail.

I don't know about you... but these types of things make me appreciate cars like the Challenger... Charger... Viper... 300.. Durango.. etc. They TO ME are like nothing else on the road when it comes to their class of vehicles. Their design is unmistakable. Love the boys and girls over at Chrysler who sculpt the outside body panels of these great looking automobiles.
