Charger 2013 SXT vs R/T (both with Blacktop)

Fellas, thinking of pulling the trigger.
Can you guys list some pro vs cons on each? I'm moving from a Subaru WRX, need a little more space and don't want to feel every bump on the road...
thoughts?

I look at it based on the transmission..

R/T's still have the 5 speed auto..but with tons of torque to pull through...

Sxt's have the 8-speed..smooth ride with decent mileage

What are your needs? regular city driving or track days as well?

I travel about 40 miles per day, sometimes I sit in traffic for 10 min... and weekend driving with kids etc... live in the suburbs. I want to be able to have some fun if need be, but for the 80%, I will do regular driving...

IMO, V6 seems to be it.
The 8 speed sure knows how to milk the Pentastar for all it's got.

Then again, some people dont wanna compromise on torque..If you have the cash to burn, why not?

Still, a test drive is usually enough to convince most folks into V8's..to each his own I guess..

What are the incentives in your area?

Here, you can get $4000 in rebates on the R/T, and only $2500 on the SXT. So although the R/T lists for more, this will make the R/T cheaper to buy. The resale on the R/T is likely to be a little stronger down the road too.

Djtuzik,

While I cannot recommend one over the other I just wanted to confirm that you are looking at RWD options only, correct? I asked this just to make sure you are aware that the Blacktop Package is not available on AWD vehicles.

Not exactly sure but will check into it. If you are looking for AWD I would suggest the AWD Sport Appearance Package (AY7). This has most of the features of the Blacktop Package except a smaller wheel size 19X7.5 vs 20X8.0 and does not have the high speed engine controller(NZ5). Most everything else is the same, so if AWD is a must I would suggest the AWD Sport Appearance Package as the alternative.
