Hey guys,..I don't want to start any uproar over gun control or anything here, simply looking for some recommendations from other folks that carry concealed.
I have been looking for a holster I can comfortably carry concealed. Not a huge fan of anything bulky, simply just want to be able to carry by M&P 9mm on my hip, still be able to carry it while sitting in the Charger, and be able to use it well. The option of a thumb latch would be good too.
Thoughts?

A full size M&P? Get a Fobus or blackhawk paddle holster easy on easy off but with a good belt fits securely in the waistband. Also fits close to the body so easier to secure
My most comfortable holster is an inexpensive Uncle Mike's pancake holster. I have a Ruger SP101, .357 and I barely even notice it's there. The pancake-style holster distributes the weight nicely, and smooths the lines around the pistol so the "bulge" isn't as noticeable. It has a velcro-adjustable thumb strap, and can be right or left-handed.

I carry a M&P40C in a Blackhawk Serpa on my waist. It's the same width as a full size M&P, but the compact is slightly shorter in the grip, and barrel. So I trimmed the end of the holster to be closer to the length of the weapon (the holster is sold for use with both full size and compact but will be extra long if you carry a compact).
I highly recommend the Serpa paddle holster, it's comfortable, secure, and easy to draw. The weapon will sit tight to the body, so it doesn't stick out real far despite the M&P being a rather large weapon.
I will also sometimes carry my full size Sig Sauer P226 in a Blackhawk Serpa holster. Just like my compact M&P it is fairly well concealed and easily accessible.
Here's a shot of my shortened holster for the M&P compact.

I have that same holster shots is showing! Fits my glock 27, 40.cal nicely... My second holster is all leather but you have to thread the belt through it. Serpa is definitely the way to go.
