Everyone on this forum hates Chargers..........all joking aside I dont think a car specific forum is a good place to get an unbiased opinion.....you might read some threads around the forum to see what problems owners have had....and do the same at a Taurus forum.....my opinion is both cars are great with each having it's own little issues.....

Hello
I Really can not decide what to buy ? Which one between these two cars is more reliable ?
Putting the snide comments aside, I would honestly drive both and make a decision based on that. If your looking for high performance, the Charger has more to offer in both the R/T and SRT packages. If your looking for gas milage and comfort, the Charger has 31 mpg w/the 8spd and the 300hp V6. I am not sure how the Taurus stands up to that. We have Taurus's at work and they are nice cars, but I give the edge to the Charger for styling as the Taurus has that bland "every other car" styling" that seems to pervade these days. Of course, I am biased, so go with whatever matches your style best.
As far as which is more dependable, I think any new car is built pretty reliable from the factory, barring you don't get a lemon. JMHO, Tom
