So, I have had this annoying knocking/vibration in the rear over bumps/cracks in the road. I have figured it was a broken exhaust hanger or something like that so I just got around to getting it checking this afternoon. Well, I pull into a local shop and see if they can fit me in. They could, we looked at it for a few minutes, they found a busted clamp. Awesome...new clamp, couple adjustments, tighten up other clamps...problems solved. To boot, I pull out my wallet, the service manager says, "don't worry about it, we're all set." Now that is awesome this day and age!.......then it gets crazy.
So the tech that brought the car in and put it on the lift goes to lower the lift. I look over, and say to myself, "it looks like the drivers door is open?" The tech does not notice...even when the door hangs up on the counter next to the lift and puts the body weight of the car on the door panel and hinge. Then he realizes...raises the lift...goes and closes the door... lowers the car to ground level, drives the car outside, comes in and hands me the keys....WITHOUT SAYING A WORD. I think, well, maybe it was just in my head and I didn't just see what I thought I saw.
I go outside and the door isn't shut all the way..because IT CAN'T! The bottom lip is bent in 90 degrees and is pretty much f'ed. Needless to say, it was all I could do to not lose my sh!t on the shop manager. He was apologetic and is going to get it taken care of, but the tech never said word one to me. What kind of bullsh!t is that???
I won't give the name and location of the shop unless it does not get taken care of to my satisfaction. I will be going to the body shop on Monday morning and going through the hassle to get it back to where it was before I randomly stopped at this shop.
This happened a little while ago and I am still fighting back the rage!!
Ok....angry rant over....

Ah man that sucks, and right after the manager was such a nice guy not charging you for the part or time. That tech ruined what would have been a post about great customer service.
Well, based on the manager, looks like they will get you fixed up, hopefully it's just the door and hinge, not the A pillar.
When you do get it fixed, be sure to check how the door closes, the gaps and panel alignment and the striker on the B pillar, take note if it as to be moved during the repair(it will have an outline of where it was)

I know...as of right now I cant see any damage to pillar...mostly just the door edge. Hoping the hinge is actually fine and once they straighten the door it will be good.

This would be my question. If I went by and the said employee was still there I'd be making a call to corporate whoever - which I'd probably do anyways just to cover my own.
