Halo lights, Beginner seeking help!!

So after going through my 5th set of HID's I think I'm tired of dealing with these. I really like the way the Halo rings look but to be honest I know nothing about them. I'm wanting something similar to http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...tships925.aspx

But I honestly know nothing about installing them, I'm not saying I have to have this exact kit. But the blue rings are what I'm looking for. Is it possible for me to just take out the old light casing and just stick a new one in? Links/prices/advice is all welcome. I'm not trying to do anything fancy, just lights that will act like the stock lights but instead have bright blue halos lol thanks in advance for all responses and information!

Hey man.

The HID's and Halos are two different animals. The halos do not project any light forward in the amount that you could use to drive with. Also with Blue halos there is no state where it is legal to drive with those. They are more of an ornamental light so to speak.

Now you could run white or amber halos all the time without a problem and use stock bulbs for actual driving purposes.

The halo install requires you to bake the headlight and separate the lens to attach the halos inside the headlight housing and run the wiring out the back to your parking lights or a 12v power source. You can buy them pre-installed but that is rather pricey.

Hope this helps.

Yes you can. Halos are independently wired LEDs in most cases. They operate via a switch or remote. They are purely cosmetic in nature. You can find a variety of how to threads on the forums at this link. Read those threads. They'll help a lot but ask questions as you go. The project seems daunting but really it's just a long sequence of small manageable steps.

Yes and yes. If the halos are red, blue, green, purple or anything else that is not white or yellow you will get pulled over.

What about something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Smoked-06-10...0c8902&vxp=mtr

it seems so much cheaper and easier, does anyone have experience with using something similar to these?
