Electrical Question, steering wheel controls not working

I was finally able to locate a new awd r/t max charger today (80 miles away from my house), so I went to the dealer and test drove it and naturally purchased it. Everything seemed in working order, on the way home my steering controls stopped working. Everything on the left side where the voice button doesnt work, the volume/navigate buttons behind the steering wheel dont work, and the horn doesnt work. However the cruise control buttons that are on the front right side do work. They definitely were working, but all of a sudden stopped. Any ideas what I could look into before I go taking it back to a dealer.

Welcome, grats on the purchase!

I'd take it back and have the dealer look at it. If you want, check the fuses in the trunk next to the spare tire, but my guess is loose connection behind the steering column.

So today my cruise stopped working and my airbag light is on. So now none of these controls work, it looks like its my clock spring. I brought it to the dealer last friday and they said they think they know what the problem is but I would have to bring it back (this upcoming friday). We'll see.

Yeah, with a new car and a fresh warranty, I'd make it pay for itself. I'd also not just take it in, have them repair it and take it back... I would actually get involved and have them tell me what caused the problem and if it could happen again. Was it just a bad connection/minor deal, or something major that needs some serious attention. Ask them if it happens again, what can you check or do to resolve it quickly. With a new car, you may also keep up on any new TSB's or Chrysler announcements for any new problems found. - Good luck and hope it's just a bad connection or something small.

just got a call from the dealer and sure enough, it is the clock spring.

Wish they would have listened to me and ordered the part earlier this week when I asked them to, then it would be fixed now instead of a week or two from now.
