How To Remove Wiring Harness From Tail Light Assembly?

I bought tail light assembly to replace one that was scratched. I was able to to take the whole tail light assembly off the car with no problems. But how does the wiring harness come off the tail light assembly? I thought they were screwed together but it looks like they're being held together by two plastic rivets of some sort. I didn't want to try prying them apart and breaking something. Does anyone who has had their tails tinted care to share their secret? Thanks!

Re: How To Remove Wiring Harness From Tail Light Assembly?

When I was investigating how to install a reverse sensor system, I took one taillight assembly off.

The harness has a red retainer as part of the electrical connector to the light assembly. Simply push the retainer to the side in its slot. It will only go in one direction. Once you've done this, you can disconnect the electrical connector from the taillight assembly.
