Exclamation Driver's side door hinge creaks!

Does anyone have to constantly lube their driver's side door? My '08 Bee with only 7500 miles and not quite one year of use seems to be prematurely wearing the driver's door hinge. About every 2 weeks or so it begins to creak and I have to lube it.

Is this common? If so what lube is suggested??

Thanks!!!!

The new style hinges on the later build date 07's and up seem to creek a little after a while. Luckily I have the old style hinges on my car and havent had any problems yet. I dont know why they went to a cheaper style hinge on these cars. The old big beefy hinge worked good!!! Damn Diamler penny pinchers. LOL

'06 with no hinge noise. I was planning on lubing mine soon anyway, and going to check and see what manual recommends. Maybe white lithium grease?

I have the same problem on my '08 (purchased new May '09) with 13,500 miles (yes, it's a daily driver). It just started a few weeks ago, have yet to lube it. What do you use?

My 08 is 2 yr/15 k and garaged. The hinge made one little sound and I was all over it with the white lithum grease spray.

Spray the crap out of it and work the door.
Let it dry a bit
Wipe off the excess over spray
