Best replacement headlight bulb????

I am looking for replacement bulbs for my headlights. Which ones are the brightest? Also is there a brighter replacement fog light bulb?

Search Sylvania Silverstar Ultras.... There have been several forums members that have used those.

Looking for "brightness" as criteria, will get you nothing but melted harness's.

I have been using the regular Sylvania Silver Stars for over 3 years now. They are about the best/safest ones to use. They are brighter than stock, though not a huge (night and day) difference. Watch out for those "E-bay" ones, as they tend to melt wiring harnesses and don't last long at all.

I used the Silverstar Ultras in my Magnum for 2 years and was very happy with them. Had them in my low's and fog's.I may end up going with them again or look into the PIAA bulbs. I used the PIAA's in all my VW GTI's that I had and they were by far the brightest bulb out there and had no problems with heat or melting of the wiring harness, only downside is they are very expensive.

Silverstar

I hate to say this because I like Sylvania.....But I had their SILVERSTAR bulbs and they didnt last a week.
Go OEM or get an HID kit!

Did you touch any part of the glass on the bulb? You cannot touch the glass part of any headlight bulb because the oils from your fingers will cause it to burn out faster.

I have the silverstars in mine. The auto zone or advance auto did not stock the ultras. I did a Silverstar comparison with the factory bulb and it is much brighter and not as yellow.

I had the silverstars in my Expedition for over 5 years with no issues at all. I now have all my vehicles with HID's. For the money, go HID.
