no, you cannot. The coolant you use has to be HOAT approved. The only one I know of other than Mopar is called ZEREX. It comes in a gold bottle and most parts stores carry it.

It will mix, but it won't be compatible. It can cause corrosion and build up in the radiator plus the freezing/boiling points may be higher/lower than they should be.(could be wrong on this part-waiting for 370 to chime in and verify )

a/i believe g05 is the old chrysler coolant -gold basically, since thats the only coolant it chrysler shares with ford which was mainly a 01-05 coolant chrysler and 03-08 coolang ford, i believe
b/ just get the hoat from the dealer. Its nearly 20 a gallon no matter where you get it? (pink and orange from chrysler is the same thing)
c/ how do you know you need coolant? how do you know the mixture is right? You may need water (distilled is best as it contains no floride) YOu need a HOAT hydrometer to test the coolant then based on the reading add either coolant or water based on what you need. If your not gonna get the correct tester you might as well put the water in as you didnt check it so why not do the cheaper route?
You can use ANY anitfreeze that is HOAT approved. The Prestone 5 yr extended life is HOAT approved. I had the same issue and called the dealer and that is what they told me. I added to mine (keep in mind the color will be different and that is ok) and its fine.

If you compare the labels, the Zerex G-05 is the only one that is almost identical to the mopar coolant. Just did the 5 year flush on my 04 Ram diesel. Mopar was $21/gal at dealer, Zerex was $10.30 at Napa.
