ok people, heres the deal i have 450 bucks set aside for exhaust. i want the best PERFORMING exhaust for my but. i dont care if it is duals or single pipe or loud as ****. thanks everyone i look forward to your replies. remember performance is the key word
I was in the same position as you are had around 500 bucks for an exhaust, but I had a muffler shop make me a custom magnaflow dual. I do like it but if you are looking for performance I have heard that a full cat back system performans better than one a muffler shop can make for you. If you are able to afford a bit more I would go with the borla/mopar dual cat back because I have heard good things and also it is on the cheaper side of full catback system. I wish I would have got system but it was a bit out of my price range. This is all just my opinion and Im sure others will respond here shortly.
Im sure I had some kind of gains but nothing you can really feel. My setup is a magnaflow muffler single into dual, the part # is 12288. It looks and sounds really good but im sure i didnt gain any more then 5 hp, just my guess though. From what I have heard the full catback systems from the main co. borla, magnaflow ect. are better performance wise than a custom setup like I have.
check out www.exhaustdepot.com I have the X pipe one and gained 12HP and 16 ft/lbs of torque just over the econo one. The econo one is much louder but as for performance the mandral bent with X pipe is the way to go, I know it is a bit high but it will be the best performance. It will be argued all day about what works best but ED has number to prove a true dual with X pipe has the highest gains period! Oh yeah it sounds awesome too!!!
