I personally love the "All Black Everything" look if you couldn't tell from my numerous pictures. Some, not all do as well but it's all in the eye of the beholder.
Just my opinion, but the glossy black of the car just doesn't work with the matte black wheels.
If you want black wheels, use a gloss black paint (and perhaps machined accents) so the wheel detail is visible and complements the gloss in the car paint. Here's an example....
Looks good! I have mine setup like that as well! You may or may not get tired of maintaining the Dip on your rims though. I'm going to be ordering a new set of rims because of this.
I am in the process of "murdering" out my wifes avenger RT. Started with plasti dipping the rims. The flat black does look good but I bought the glossifier and it is on the way. Just by changing the rims it looks like a new car. 20% tint is next.
I thought I would like matte black on my shiny redline but I added gloss black door scoops and gloss black grille and it just "pops" with it. Depends preference as well but can never go wrong with blacking it out!
I think you would have to finish it though with the 15's...smoked lights....smoke those side markers out. Just my opinion.
(I think the 15's lost a little muscle when they changed the front though:notallthere
Personally, I'm bored with the "blackout" look... every other Charger I see has done it, and for me the fad has passed... why not try something unique, although I have no idea what that could be...:serious:
I like that a Lot! My previous driver was Red. I agree that the whole black paint thing just doesn't work on wheels. if you're going to murder it out, it pretty much has to be the paint too. Hotrod black. Otherwise the wheels need "some" sort of accent. Unless that accent is the Black Vapor Chrome. Man, that's wicked cool!!!!! Still working on ideas for my newly purchased '13. I didn't want to do red this time so went with black. So much harder to do style in black.
I think maybe a lot of people are trying to do it by simply slapping a set of black wheels on and calling it "murdered ." And to me, that doesn't look BadAzz, but HalfAzz.
Your look, on the other hand, is unique, different, and interesting. It seems like you've thought about how the finishes work together. I like it.
I think you guys are right. I ordered some glossifier and will be tinting the tail lights as well. Some stupid idiot dinged my car in the rear quarter panel at the mall... I parked all the way in the back so no one parks beside me, I come out and theres a truck parked beside me and a deeeeeeeep ding in my rear quarter panel (enough to remove paint and gouge the sheet metal) I was furious. Almost knocked the window out of the truck but I didn't
I like the red accents a lot. I tried it myself but I did a poor job so I removed it. I'm looking for someone to put red stripes on mine but for a reasonable cost
