The problem is that I feel like the high RPMs is where our big cars should shine. I'm hoping when I eventually do my cam and SRT mids (I'm in California) my car should pull hard just about from any RPM range. I do have plans of doing a LSD 3.55 rear end eventually too but that's down my mod list.

High RPM operation is really the antithesis of what a larger displacement V8 is designed to do. If you really want to leverage higher RPM breathing then a cam would be the best option. I do understand what you mean though. The 5.7 feels like it peters out at around 5500 or so. With a good cam, you can get that to 6000-6200 depending on the cam profile and how well the heads flow. There's no point in taking it up that high if it's simply not making power.
If I had a choice between creating more area under the curve I'd take that over increasing high RPM capability. The 420 lb/ft that Not_A392 is getting is much more useable and valuable than a few hundred RPM on the top end.
If you really want to make the 5.7 shine, I always recommend
- Gears (3.91)
- SRT manifolds and mid pipes
- AMG Blue top solenoids (if using the NAG1 5 speed) - the NAG1 is dog lazy on shifting and benefits greatly from increased line pressure.
That makes for a monster of a car.
