I wouldn't worry about driving an R/T in the snow. I've had mine on a foot of snow and ice, as I had to go to Nebraska for a funeral a month or two ago. I drove sensibly and had zero traction issues even in unplowed parking lots.

I really don't understand why people are so scared of rear wheel drive cars when it snows. I fear front wheel drive cars in the snow, because they allow people who have no business driving in the snow to get their cars moving.

Some of us are the family taxi, hauling our loved ones daily in our 100 mi/day commute. It was SUV or AWD Charger for me. Didn't even need to buy winter tires.

I get this. Honestly I was terrified with my first RWD car a couple of years ago. Snow tires changed all of that...however, I have a very short commute and don't have little ones to take with me so you are certainly in a different circumstance.
