The police around here have red, blue and white flashing lights. Not just blue.

Yes absolutely, that's why I have them on my personal vehicles as well as my emergency vehicles. ( private investigator and emergency Highway response)

I am aware that many departments use many different combinations.

Are you guys ready to laugh your asses off?? So as I stated Im totally against these third brake light blinkers.

So last night I let my wife drive my new 2017 Daytona 392, and I followed so I could hear the roar from outside of the car. And guess what.....

MY EFFING CAR HAS THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT BLINKER THING INSTALLED!!!! I had no idea. The dealer never told me, but they install those on every new car they sell. I would have told them to rip if off and throw it away had I known. And here I am *****ing about them on the internet, meanwhile my brand new car has it. Oh the irony. Anyway, its going in very soon for them to remove it. And heres another thing, they wont tell me where its installed and how to remove it. They will only take it off themselves. Even though I just wrote a huge check for this car and its mine... Oh well, let them take it off. But I figured you guys would get a good laugh at this.

Cheers.

It's actually proactive. Federal DOT has mandated them in 2020. The CHMSL must flash 3 times when the break is applied and go to steady.

I agree. I find it to be more of a nuisance, annoying, and a distraction. Brake lights are that hard to see?

I've seen a few cars with them, mostly modded imports, and it's irritating, especially if you're sitting in stop and go traffic.

*Traded* 2010 Charger R/T AWD. Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl exterior, black leather interior, front chin spoiler, Flowmaster Original 40's, tinted windows.

*Current* 2013 Charger SRT8 Super Bee. Black. Flowmaster Super 40's, and 20% tint all around.

Where did you see this? I did a search and found nothing. Not saying you're wrong, I just didn't see anything.
