Odd tracking sticker on my new R/T

I found this yesterday on the boot lid (trunk lid), any ideas what the hell this is? There is some sort of "anti-theft" square sticker on my windshield too. I don't remember seeing these on my '14 when I bought that.

i found this explanation on a Subaru forum:
It's a microdot system that are on body panels that are unique to your car. If someone steals it and decides to sell it part by part, they could trace it back to your car. It's mostly just a quick money making scheme by the dealerships.
