Hey brother, I know what you mean. I get so damn excited some times and find ways to reason my nex purchase. I am still contimplating the exhaust and headers. Its crazy, I should of just bought an srt-8.
I'm due tomorrow also. From what Brian said you need a rivet tool that handles plastic rivets. Something tells me I'll be making due with what I have so I can ***** about it when I break it!
Let me know how the install goes.
I'm also thinking headers down the rqaod. Met someone today who works in a shop who said they can install them. Almost ordered them up when I got home.
ya know ty - i sometimes have that same thought! BUT, we would still mod...there are still headers for the srt8, new exhaust.......and you have a higher note on the car to boot, so........i just have to remind myself this over and over......AND i keep telling myself to not go near an srt8 b/c when i get my big severance check instead of paying off the r/t i will be putting it toward the srt and i can't have that......
i wonder if this is the exact same plastic rivets that go with the front fascia piece...if so you don't need anything special....just a pair of pliers or a lock wrench to hold the end piece and with other hand hold the rivet in place and then pull quickly....worked like a charm on the front fascia.
looking forward to some pics.....almost ordered mine but the wife made me feel bad.....so waiting until after the holidays.

I'm thinking that they are the same from Brian's description. Thanks for the install description. That's probbaly the method I'm going to use. Remember when you lived in Buffalo and you worked on your car outside in the cold? How nice it felt when that pliers caught your half frozen skin? It should be happening to me 9 times tomrrow or saturday.
GoDaddy, I tried to reserve one for you this morning so you would have it after xmas but he sold out yesterday. He's got more coming and if that isn't quick enough he did a search and there's one he can get in another store for ya.
hemiready - thanks for the help brother, gonna have to wait until just after the 1st....i have some secret money coming in that will allow me to get the rear diffuser and the oem spoiler. can't wait........
Sorry I offended GoDaddy, but I'm just going off what Ty said: "Its crazy, I should of just bought an srt-8."
I should have been more carefull with my tone. I'm trying to encourage, not criticize. I just wanted to say you only live once, so go for it y'a know. For the money spent on a succession of mods, he could just save up and go for it (or pay off the R/T). Shoot! Go on by the Dodge dealer with you severance check and trade her in for a real one.
throw a smiley in there man and i would have been good to go.....thought you were attacking. understand completely.....the srt8 is a beast. my dealership has been promised an srt8 magnum from way back when and nothing yet.......so no rush. plus, to be honest - if i can pay this beast off in the next 6 to 9 months like i am hoping....i can start saving for a challenger and give the charger to the wife.

You know its going to happen. And just for you, I'll slip with the wrench as well and catch one in the nads.
Let me know if you want to see what this looks like (the diffuser - not my nad shot) and I'll drive her by.
And BigC, welcome. It's a long exlpanation as to why I did not get an SRT8 myself and the money was not the factor - actaully in part it was, my fn dealer told me that car would be $53K and I thought that was rediculous so I started looking at other things. Wish I knew about this site and did some research.
Anyway, I love my RT but can't help making a few changes............by the time most of us are done we could pay for an SRT8

Yeah, but it's easier on the pocketbook this way. Either you go all out and buy the SRT-8 and eat bread and beans forever or do it gradually and have hamburger sometimes...
