Newbie here. Sucks that this is my first post. Looking to see if anyone else has had this problem with their 2016 Charger R/T. If you do not want to read the novel below: I am experiencing long crank times when the car has sat for at least 1+ hours. It eventually fires up, but the crank time is way too long.
I have seen lots of posts regarding fuel pump replacement, etc. My specific question is whether or not anyone has had this issue with such low mileage on their car? My odometer is currently sitting right at 1100 miles.
I bought the car new two months ago. Odometer just hit 1087 miles yesterday. After a 40+ mile trip across town (90% highway) last night, and the car sitting for less than an hour in the garage, the engine cranked for an abnormally long time before firing. Once the RPMs dropped down from the initial firing, I turned the car off, let it sit for about 5 seconds, hit the Start button again, and the car fired right up. Odd, I thought.
Went out to some dinner...car sat for a couple of hours...came out, and it did it again. Long crank time, and eventually started. Drove it home, it sat in the garage overnight, woke up this morning...and of course, long crank times again. Drove it to work this morning, let it sit for about an hour, came back outside...very long crank time.
I have taken several videos in case the dealership claims they cannot replicate the issue, but man I am so bummed.
I will give folks an update as this progresses. At this point, nothing that I can fix/do. Just have to wait until Monday when I drop it off at the dealership.
