I've only seen one dyno posted by each setup. The JBA Dyno was done by mighty noid and I believe it to be the same one they graph on JBA's site. The Mopar one is done by Mopar Super Center. The consensus on the forums seems to be Mopar. I admit this is limited data but please post any relevant extra info.
JBA Headers
JBA Catback
No mids
306 rwhp
357 tq
Mopar headers
Mopar catback
Mids with high flow cats
309.2 rwhp
339.4 tq
Add mids to the JBAs and I'd expect to meet or beat the rwhp on the Mopar. The torque is already a good bit higher. Of course this isn't a perfect comparison by any means. Just a tool for discussion.
for the aggravation fit, performance, check engine lights, no cats, needing more hardware, etc.. get the mopar longtubes with cats and be worry free and headache free.
I have stock manifolds, JBA cats/mids, and JBA catback...No lights, sweet sound and acceleration.
Going to MOFO at Sacto. raceway tonight. Posts results from my 1/4 mile times.
I thought it was the corsa kit...either way, you'll save money on the JBA kit. I think it's $440 @ HHPerformance. That's about half as much if memory serves me, but I could be wrong.
I did not; but I had nothing but problems.....rubbing, cels(o2 sensors); but I'm sure this was installer error. The Mopar are made for your car; plus you get the high flow cats with them. By the time you buy the JBA and high flow cats the cost is a wash. Go with what you are comfortable with....That is the bottom line.
I'm just wondering how you can say that Mopar gives more horses. Is this strictly a seat of the pants interpretation?
Unless you had the HHP mids with high flow cats installed along with the JBA shorties then you aren't comparing apples to apples. You're comparing 2/3 (mopar longtubes and cats) of an exhaust system against 1/3 (JBA headers) of an exhaust system. Not to mention that the HHP mids have been reported to produce the most noticeable gains.
