With the 8.4 Uconnect you can enter Dealer Mode and Engineering Mode. I don't remember all the options of each mode but the Uconnect screen has the scroll bar on the side so you can scroll down through the options; 'Reset to Factory Default' is one of the options.
Engineering Menu:
Put the Start Button in ACC without starting the car.
Wait for the Uconnect screen to initialize and turn On
Push driver side climate control hard buttons (hot/cold ... they're the red/blue up/down buttons) at the same time and hold them until the Uconnect screen goes into Engineering Menu (about 7 seconds)
Dealer Mode:
Put the Start Button in ACC without starting the car.
Wait for the Uconnect screen to initialize and turn On
Push driver side climate control hard buttons (hot/cold ... they're the red/blue up/down buttons) at the same time, and also push the Front Defrost button, and hold them until the Uconnect screen goes into Dealer Mode (about 7 seconds)
Screen Capture:
If you want a screen capture while in Dealer Mode ...
Plug a blank USB stick into the USB port
Push driver side climate control hard buttons (hot/cold ... they're the red/blue up/down buttons) at the same time, and also push the Rear Defrost button, and hold them until the Uconnect screen displays the message "Screen shot has succeeded".
Screen capture may work while on the Engineering Menu but I have not tried it.
.
Engineering Menu:
Put the Start Button in Run without starting the car.
Wait for the Uconnect screen to initialize and turn On
Push driver side climate control hard buttons (hot/cold ... they're the red/blue up/down buttons) at the same time and hold them until the Uconnect screen goes into Engineering Menu (about 7 seconds)
I'm not sure how many model years support these procedures. 2011 through 2014 have reported it working. I'm not sure about cars prior to 2011 or after 2014. The software changed with the newer Gen-8 Chargers (2015 - 2017). Gen-7 Chargers are 2010 - 2014.
.
The Dealer Mode and Screen Capture procedures work on my 2012. The Engineering Menu procedure does not work on my car. Also, the procedures only work on my car when the ignition button is in the ACC position ... not the RUN position. There may be a procedure to access the Engineering Menu for the 2012 but I have not discovered it yet.

2017's are Panasonic, Harman is used in some models in MY17, but they are slowly switching all to Panasonic. Because of the switch, there have been huge changes made, there is no longer an engineering menu, it simply is not there. There is a dealer menu and that is it. There is a way to reset the radio but it's a hidden feature. Take the vehicle to the dealer, advise the tech to create a tech request to the Star Center, this is the only option you have.....
Your radio is a Panasonic, that's why. It does have a Engineering menu but it is hidden.
I have read on other forums that doing a "factory reset" like this will disable navigation, if navigation has been activated later on (it's the $500 option). I can't confirm for sure but just wanted to mention it.
If someone can confirm this it'd be nice.
This works on my '15, but some of the options are gone in Dealer/Engineering mode that were present in the 11-14s. Can confirm that if you do the dealer reset, it will keep your navigation activated though. It seems like these radios all have the same software, as mine after reset started up as a Chrysler 300 with cooled seats and all sorts of stuff I didn't have, and read the VIN or something in the car that tells it how to configure itself, after a few minutes it converted itself to what it should be.
Some features change because of security in the engineering menu.
When you do a reset of the radio, on a Harman, the default internal software is SRT based, and all features are unlocked. But once you perform a bus sleep cycle and it reads the CMC, the radio adaptive stacks to the config of the current vehicle.

I'm not sure about the navigation feature specifically, but dealer installed options go through a procedure to update the VIN with the sales code of the added accessory. Once the VIN has been updated they perform a Restore Vehicle Configuration procedure.
Then they register the added sales code as a Dealer Installed Option with the Global Claims System.
But if some people have had issues with the "factory reset" disabling their navigation, it's probably prudent to not use it if your navigation was not factory installed.

Well, I got the 300 C back today after 10 days at the Dealer. The TSBs didn't fix the problem so they tried a new radio next. Took 4 days to get it in and install it. Still didn't fix it. But since they had it all apart they were able to do some diagnostics and determined it was the touch screen itself that was malfunctioning. They returned the radio and ordered the replacement touch screen. It took 3 days to get it and another day to install it.
The system is now working properly again. They didn't charge me anything for the TSBs nor the radio work and only charged me for replacing the touch screen, so I can't complain. Because I have the SRT to drive while it was in the shop, it worked in my favor to leave it there until it was all done so they didn't have to put it all back together after the radio attempt just to tear back apart to install the touch screen.
