Hey guys, I want to re-locate the IAT sensor on my C&L intake closer to the filter. Way too much heat is surrounding that thing between the front of the engine block and my boiling hot catch can thats 2" away from it.........My intake is made of CNC machined Cast alluminum........How would I go about filling in the current IAT sensor hole so air doesnt leak out? If its something I cant do, what kind of shop would I go to for something like this?
dont relocate the IAT hole - it is there for a reason - don't need to trick the motor into thinking it is getting cooler temperatures it is actually getting. and that is from dynosteve at the stack performance dyno day.
I would but i dont know if its so good why not everyone goes that route, and why RDP didnt want one of their units tested at the mfo.........not saying its not good.....just confusing what to believe ya know
Plus, someone on lxforums is coming out with a functional twin true CAI
Someone on lxforums informed me of a bracket made that mounts on the stud on the front of the engine, and positions the catch can a few inches to the left (towards the passenger side).......that should get it away from the IAT enough to not bake it
