The above article is claiming that the output should be around 600 (give or take).
Now...keep in mind, that number is pure conjecture, and was not provided by ANYONE associated with Chrysler...that is simply the authors "best guess".
So...when/if this engine is officially announced and the HP is around 550 - 575, I don't want to see any gnashing of teeth, kicking of puppies, and just going Old Testament and ripping your clothes in anguish. You...YOU...yea, I'm talking to you over there in the corner...get your foot away from that puppy RIGHT NOW!!!
what knd of supporting mods are there on the engine. i can see the 6.2 netting over 600. i have seen the ls1 350 make 540 with only a supercharger. and names fit the owner and it's vehicle.
Damnit, you know how much I love a good ol fashioned puppy kicking:rolleyes2:
I'll take 575 SRT rated horses any day. No torque number given? Hmmmmmmm
About this website, any of our cyber ween...I mean sleuths, got anything on it? Backdoor SRT info channel direct? I cant imagine anyone would leak this sort of stuff without permission, SRTs too damn small to get away with that. This same site has been the source of some recent DSRT-4 info also.
Just a car freak that shares info people care about, and not the same “news” that gets spread across 5500 different car blogs everyday that’s worded differently.
Regarding the name, we use to be a car forum.

No surprise to me at all. I've said all along IF Chrysler wants to keep up with Ford or GM they must go with forced induction. I can't wait to see the final numbers when this beast comes out. If it does get 600HP or more than sign me up please.
One of my digital paintings...the Hellcat leads, and the Mustang follows. I can only hope the same is true of the 6.2L Hellcat engine (if it becomes reality).
It was posted today over at Allpar that the "Hellcat" engine (Supercharged 6.2L) will be an option on SRT Vehicles for MY2014. No word on price or output yet though. If this does turn out to be true, the NAIAS coming up later this month may yield some answers.
