Ok guys is it just me that keeps scraping underneath the front of my bumper when I park too close to a low curb? And should I even worry about fixing the scraped off paint under the bumper since you cant see underneath anyway ?
Previous owner scraped the hell out of it lol. Either back in, learn to judge distance better or install a camera. It's even worse if you put the chin spoiler on.
I would say it's better with the chin spoiler on. 99% of the time, I back in, but a few times I parked forward, I had hit the curb with the chin spoiler, but because it's made out of that matte finish, there is no damage and they seem to have some flex to them.
2 or 3 times, I have hit either a post or a pole while reversing too close, and both times there wasn't even a scratch on the middle of my back bumper. They seem to also have some flex to them. Obviously, these were all at very low speeds.
I always get that cringe moment when I do it in my Rallye...and it's higher! I was used to my old Jeep where I didn't really care...quite the difference.
Started parking in the garage recently...I forget how massive my car is. It's a full 2ft longer than the Jeep it replaces and at least 6in wider...
That's the problem I have with mine. My old Lincoln LS was more of a midsize and the Charger is a full size. Getting there but I'm not quite used to the larger size, and it doesn't help that my work car is a Corolla. No way in HELL I'm driving the Charger to work, parking spots are tiny and people don't care where their doors go. You just have to accept that when you pull into a parking spot, you need to stop short of where you think you need to stop.
