Oil Brand

So I am getting closer to needing to change the oil in my R/T and I was wondering what is the preferred oil brand that everyone is using? Normally I would just grab a gallon of Mobil 1 and not think twice but I decided to put some extra thought into it.
P.S. As my sig shows I do have a Billet oil catch can if that matters.

Frankly Mobil 1 and the other off the shelf oils are not really that good. Lots of people use them familiar with it and it is available everywhere. Remember that all the typical synthetics out there are based on PAO or poly alpha olefin from condensed natural gas. Some know it as GTL.

Anyway, being a Tribologist, I design lubricants for people here on the forum all the time. We have been here for just over 6 years and have many thousands of repeat customers....just over 11,000 to be more specific....with a 97.6% reorder rate. The reason for that is we take into consideration what you have, where you live, what modifications you have, what your goals are for the car, where you drive it (more city or more highway...a combination etc) so that we make EXACTLY what your car needs and not limited to a brand or SAE spec. This way you get an oil that is augmented for your car taking into consideration what you have and what you have done. The catch can you have is designed to take out volatility in the oils. Mineral oils have up to 35% reactivity and will fill the catch can constantly. Typical off the shelf oils will fill it less with 15% reactivity where as QuantumBlue is 1.5 to 3% reactive so almost nothing in the can. The oil stays liquid and not vapor into the can!

We have 5.7L Hemi engines going 10k, 12k, 14k, 16,6k 18.2k miles on one oil change. These are VVT MDS Hemi engines....including the 392 Hemi.

When you change the system and add a tune, exhaust, cam, heads, CAI etc, they OEM specs for the car have changed....your lubricant needs to incorporate that as well.

Anyway, it is $102.08 for 2 gallons of QuantumBlue Custom Blend which includes the QuantumBlue Ultra HP Oil Filter in the price. Add shipping and it comes right to your door made with your name on it!

Also, with Ddaddy helping you on the ST KR and LT KR, remember too that adding ACES IV to your gasoline will richen up the fuel mixture by providing a wet fuel instead of just a dry fuel that you are presently getting. Adding 1 oz per 6 gallons gives you 6 times less ring and bore wear, 4 times less stem and guide wear in the heads with the quieting down of the "Hemi Tick" that is so prevalent in these engines.

$168.60 gives you the ACES IV and the 2 gallons of oil + filter.

This is that "extra thought" you were looking for!:bigthumb:
