I am having a real hard time reading that with a straight face.
I would assume you havent driven either the 2500 short bed Ram 4x4. or the 3500 dually long bed. There is a night and day difference in the ride and road handling. As with my Charger I can take an off ramp at relatively higher speeds in the 3500. My employees thought it was one of the best driving vehicles they have ever driven. However when I had the 2500 with the HEMI. They were afraid of it on wet roads and around bends. The truck did beat the hell out of you on the NYC streets and highways and would tail hop on any road anomalies.
I have been driving pick up trucks and Straight jobs as well as military HEMMITS and heavy equipment a better part of my life and I can say that the New Dually trucks are the finest ever built. I cant say what the longevity will be however. I am hoping for 400,00 miles.
Try one, it may surprise you

man there is alot of ignorant people on here when it comes to diesels.
i know several guys over on various truck & 4x4 boards that are putting down 600hp/1200+ft lb at the wheels, from a daily driver, that gets about 20 mpg, and will do 11's in the 1/4.
dont think heavy ass truck when you see a diesel and figure you are going to win, because that might not be the case, i wouldnt even screw around with a diesel for fear of humiliation of getting beat by a 7000# truck.
Down here in Texas we love our Diesel trucks. My 02 F-250 (7.3L) was a power house. I had so much fun blowing away most I came upon.
I ran the Hypertech programmer, CAI, Banks 6-gun, Bully Dog propane injection system and a little turbo work.
That truck is bangin!! Good job!! I don't personaly like the semi truck style exhaust, but looks good overall. Question, have you raised your intake? You raised the exhaust, but what about the intake? Gotta keep that away from the mud.
The MTs are bad @sses!
What kind of suspension you have?
Reading comprehension is key. Thanks for pointing out that I indicated a dually and a seperate 2500 ram. At least some one is paying attention.
Oops I misread that, I guess I just couldn't believe I read someone say that a dually handles as well as a daytona. You are entitled to your own opinion though. I will back your statement about the 2500 short bed riding rough. This one I have also has a huge fifth wheel hitch and extra springs for towing so the ride is much worse. After I sell this truck I'll test drive a megacab dually.

Gotta watch out for them smokers ! I live in Az and a lot of my buddies are pushing around 600-800 hp with theirs not to mention the outragous torque you get from those things. A couple of them run out at the Friday night drags and are seldom beat.

As I mentioned in another thread, any of you that are in the Mid-Atlantic area are welcome to come to my club's semi-annual dyno day, October 21-22, at SGS Motorsports in Dillsburg, PA (just north of Gettysburg on 15 right off the PA Turnpike):
The last two years, we have gotten 125-150 truck over the two days, from all over the northeast, and some even from the midwest. You will be able to really see what some diesels can do in terms of power.
AND, you don't have to have a diesel to make huge torque numbers. A recent recalculation of my 390FE shows it putting out well over 500lb/ft of torque.
I don’t think anyone doubted that gas engines can make good TQ numbers. However, let’s compare a 650ftlb gas engine to a 650ftlb diesel. Please tell me if the gas engine can do any of these things.
1. Last 300,000+ miles.
2. Work at full load for extended periods. (GM LSx motors do have a 100% duty cycle but don’t make 650tq).
3. Get 17-20+MPG in a 7000lb truck.
4. Make full torque at 1600-1800rpm.
5. Run reliably on readily available pump fuel (91 octane here) even during the summer (115-118 deg where I live).
6. Provide ease of maintenance, reliable 10k+ oil changes ect...
