2006 Charger SRT8 Stereo/Nav Problem (HELP)

So i have the Navigation Stereo in my 06 SRT8, havent had a problem with it in 4 years, but all of a sudeen the screen goes black and i cant choose a song or even see the time when the radio is off.

sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. i looked up a new one going for around 650.00....no thanks...

is there a fix to this ? with out having to replace the stereo. i pulled the bezel off and removed the stereo and reconnected everything and it worked fine for a few days, but now its back to doing it.

let me know.

Thanks.

Hope all is well with everyone !!

Huuuummmmmm...well Vito, I havent had that problem, I had a problem with low voltage before and things started going alittle nuts, got a tsb flash for low voltage and that fixed it. I do know that the techs at the dealer see alot of low voltage for the sound system in memory, no code, but might have that checked....Just a guess..

i dont know if thats could be the problem because sometimes the stero goes pixilated. and its just a bunch of colors. like a false connection to the screen. seems to be that when the car warms up it happens, but when its cold in the morning it works.

I've run into your problem on a couple of customer cars where I work. The radio is the problem, you'll have to replace it.
