Order a '13 when the 14's come out??

Hey All,

so how does this work when the 14s hit the pricelist? can you still order a 13 for a certain amount of time or is that it when the 14's are announced? Im guessing its shut off as it would be difficult to deal with different color schemes from year to year, but how does it work for sure?

Like what if I wanted Jazz blue with red seats on a 13 (I don't but good example) but was holding out to see what options the 14s will have, and then blue is gone for the 14s?

Are you out of luck or can you order a 13 model for a bit longer after the 14s are announced?

Generally current models can still be ordered after the next year models are announced....the cutoff usually occurs around june/July but this can vary.....

My experience with my ordering since I got the last batch of the 2012s was late April. Every dealership told me after the month that I would be ordering a 2013 and I would have to wait till September or Octoberish because they wouldn't produce them till June/July.

2014 order banks will open June 6 within a day or so

hmmm so does that mean the prior year does cut off in April? is there a dead zone for May when you cant really order anything? Interesting..

Last year, the cut off was mid april so I assume it will be the same this year. They have a few weeks as a transition so they can switch their stuff to the new model year and not have to bother about loosing control on too many orders at the end of the year

pretty much.. that's what happened last year, the cut-off was apr and you couldn't place a new order until june

Yikes, so roll the dice on 6.2 availability or order a 13 now and kick some ass in the summer months..waiting sux...

The 6.2 hellcat won't be released until 2015 at the earliest. Another member posted an article containing an interview with Ralph Gilles on the matter. 2014s won't be anything really different (so I've read) for the chargers, the 8 speed tranny has been said to have been delayed also.
