If you had a choice between similarly equipped '11s or '12s, go with the newer model year. There were lots of little standard additions to the Charger, like a color EVIC, steering wheel paddles, bolstered sport seats, 8sp transmission, etc. Also the Dodge badge added the red hash marks, if that matters

I don't know why these weren't all included on the '11, but what can you do.

My wife's 12 charger with 8 speed tranny, destroys my 11 charger Rallye plus with 5 speed tranny. Both with pentastar 3.6

Of course, you could always just order a badge for yourself...I don't think they're very expensive.

What are you talking about?? I just rented a 2011 Dodge Charger and IT HAD a Pentastar V6. It didnot have the 8-speed as you stated it had the old 5 speed. It was still a fantastic rental car. The second best one I've ever rented next to a 2012 Chrysler 300 with V6/8speed combo.
