Dodge didn't plan on leaving NASCAR they were hoping to expand with the
new car and maybe another team, they got screwed by Roger Penske when

I know there are probably a lot of stories floating around about what happened with Penske and Dodge, but I believe this to be true - Penske asked for a 5 year contract which is normal for the teams, and Dodge would not give it to him - he called Ford and they were glad to give him a lucrative deal - not sure about length of the deal.


I think it is Dodge's fault that Penske left. (My opinion based on this article)
