Trans or gears ?

I'm debating between doing mods to my trans (stall converter,bluetops/valve body,MoparTCM) or installing a Getrag Limited Slip Differential track pack.


I guess my question is which one would be the best bang for the buck and/or which would give me the most performance and if i was to go with the Getrag what gear ratio would be the best ?

My quick thought would be make sure the tranny is ready to handle the extra stress of the rear end. If your not racing it though, i dont think it makes a difference.

since i hate choosing i did both lololol, i guess if you had a gun to your head id go with the getrag .the tranny will hold up but the limited slip rear and taller gears will make a real noticable difference .id do tme mopar tcm any way if you can find one. there are as many opinions on ratios as there are chargers personally the tallest i would go with is 3.55 . still a streetable gear you wont lose to much mpg and speed on the top . while at the same time be in the perfect gear at the 1/4 mile .

thanks for the input guys I don't use my car as a daily driver any more so its just a weekend cruiser /nice weather car so the MPG doesn't bother me lol

Im looking for off the line power I know the stock setups are good for daily drivers but at the track not so much the open diff hurts especially if your making power

When I launch my car I have the ESP turned off

Rear end is my choice!!!!! 3.73 or 3.92 if u do a getrag. Also the Nag1 trans is good up to somwhere between 500-525rwhp depending on how u drive and if u track it often

Thanks for the input guys I think I'm getting close to a decision lol I will eventually upgrade both but I think the rear end is the weak link for the time being
